Cash bids for hard red winter (HRW) in the southern US Plains on Thursday were unchanged, but premiums were uneven as demand varied following last weekend's snowstorm in the region, merchants said. Concern that snow-covered fields might damage the high-protein wheat crop drove some bids up as much as 13 cents per bushel on Thursday. Other bids dropped as much as 13 cents as farmers and processors gauge the storm's impact over the next few weeks.
